Course Overview
This training requirement is effective as of January 1, 2025. Life insurance agents licensed on and after January 1, 2024, must complete a course titled Life Insurance Policies Four-Hour Course before soliciting individual consumers for the purpose of selling life insurance policies. This training requirement is effective as of January 1, 2025 (Insurance Code section 1749.81[c]). Newly licensed life insurance agents are encouraged to complete Life Insurance Policies Four-Hour Course as soon as the course becomes available in 2024 (so prior to the effective date) to be able to continue selling life insurance policies as stated in California’s Insurance Code section 1749.81(a). This four-hour training applies to all California life licensees, with both resident and non-resident licenses. Our course has been approved for 12 total hours so we could adequately cover the information. UIE’s course is approved for 4 2025 Life Insurance Policies 4-Hour + 8 Life Only hours. |
