The PC Professional

This course is designed to cover the multiple topics that a property and casualty agent would work with. We have combined the topics that are often provided separately so that an agent may complete multiple requirements in a single course.

One chapter, Flood Insurance, is completely based on FEMAs course requirements. As such, it meets or exceeds the requirements and course outline provided by FEMA for insurance agents who market such products. As a separate entity, it has been approved by the multiple states as meeting FEMAs education requirements for agents.

Employment Practices Liability Insurance is covered since related lawsuits are on the rise. Agents need to understand where such products work effectively and be able to suggest the proper policy to their clients. This is an area of insurance that agents probably do not currently consider but it is essential that they begin doing so.

The other types of property and casualty insurance contained in The PC Professional are more routine (home and auto coverage) but covered at an advanced level for agents who already have some amount of field experience. Newly licensed agents may find this course difficult.

The last chapter is on agent ethics. Although most agents are aware of state ethic requirements, this chapter looks at suitability standards for insurance products, actual client contact, and the professional conduct that is expected.
